For years, we shied away from class action lawsuits. However...a very important Supreme Court ruling last year found that federal agencies running lending programs could be sued in court for violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This is a brand new door that was opened for us...and we're going through it. Since the beginning of this year, millions of student loan borrowers saw their credit scores slammed, often despite their best efforts to contact their servicers and the Department of Education. This has caused massive harms. There is a lawsuit now getting underway. It seeks damages of $100k per borrowers, and also seeks the return of bankruptcy protections to federal student loans. It is a very strong case. IF THIS HAPPENED TO YOU, YOU NEED TO GO HERE, AND TELL THEM YOUR STORY. Do it right now. Time is critical. They need a couple hundred people to certify the class, then it's off to the races! We aren't publicing this on social media yet. Please don't post about it on social media just yet. See today's livestream. BUT DEFINITELY DO GIVE THEM YOUR INFO AND DESCRIBE WHAT HAPPENED WITH YOUR CREDIT SCORE, ATTEMPTS YOU MADE TO CONTACT YOUR SERVICER, THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, ETC... Dr. Wayne Johnson, who was Chief Operating Officer of the Federal Student Aid office (ie he literally ran the federal student loan program), is leading this effort. He also was one of the founders of a credit reporting agency, Experion. This is a very serious man, and this is a very serious case. It will be very good for you to get in on this suit now. It will be good for everyone with student loans. Tell anyone you know who similarly experienced dings to their credit score as a result of their federal student loans over the past year about this (but please do NOT post it on social media!)... If your credit score has taken a dive this year, a class action is starting this week that you definitely want to participate in. It is led by a rare whistleblower, truth-teller, and former Trump appointee who literally RAN the federal student loan program. The lawsuit seeks both monetary damages for borrowers, but critically, they also are seeking the return of bankruptcy protections as a part of the settlement. I hope to have much more to say about this publicly in the days/weeks to come, but definitely do check it out, watch the video. If your credit score took a hit this year because of your student loans, you absolutely want to see this class action lawsuit that launched on Friday. The violations have been rampant this year, particularly towards the beginning of the year, when almost no one could even get through to their servicers/Dept of Education, etc. We almost never promote class actions, but this one is very different. Wayne Johnson, the whistleblower who literally ran the federal loan program on Trump's first term, is heading it up. See this seminal interview he did with Tucker Carlson. A recent Supreme Court ruling found that the Dept of Education and it's contractors can be sued for violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and that has certainly happened on a broad scale over this year. The suit seeks $100k/borrower in damages, and also seeks the return of bankruptcy rights to the loans. This group does big, important things. This lawsuit is going to be big. And important.
