5/20/2024 Special Article: Plz Help With This!Hey Folks-
We just published this: Everything you THINK you know about student loans is wrong! Hopefully YOU actually know most of these things, but almost everyone else does not! Please share it broadly, and clap for it many times. Also, See last night’s live stream, where I take you through all of this and more- ➡️ And please…donate if you can? We missed our critical target last week by $60 (with bills due today), and will have to raise nearly $800 this coming week. I’m doing the best I can on this shoestring budget, folks…but we are still floundering. Yikes. Will you not help make this fundraising a bit easier on us?! 🙏🙏 Thanks to all who have been donating lately…I cannot tell you how important and appreciated your support has been- Please let’s make this a Strong Week! -Alan

5/19/2024 Sunday. Important Livestream Tonight!Hey Everyone-
We need 12 people to donate $10 or more today for this weeks expenses. Will you please help & make this fund raising a bit easier on us? ➡️➡️ http://www.studentloanjustice.org/donate.html I'll be doing a special Livestream tonight @6pm EST on our X channel to discuss our next actions, and also the presidential campaign. Time to light a fire under this election season! Today's quick action: We are the largest muscle in the country in the student loan battle when you help us flex it. PLEASE DO YOUR PART! We Got This. -Alan 5/18/2024 Saturday Battle!Hey Everyone-
See today’s quick live stream. The opposition is out in force, spinning lies and more lies, which I point out in today’s action: ➡️ We’re needing 8 people to donate $20 or more this week. Will you please help? http://www.studentloanjustice.org/donate.html Sorry I have to ask. Great thanks to Lara, Mark, Rhonda, Sophia, Angela, Garrett, April, Jen, Ricardo, Jorge, Dori, Jerome, Dori, Lisa, Patrick, Mark, Althea, Dennis, Rose Marie, Alric, Jeannie, Tylean, Frank, Carrie and Donald for their donations, which included several recurring donations, which are exceptionally helpful!! 🙏🙏 Have a Great Weekend, All- -Alan 5/17/2024 Friday. Some Good News-Hey Everyone-
I’m glad to report that 7 people have signed up for recurring donations over the past week. If we can get 150 people to commit to a $10-$20 monthly, recurring donation from now until the election, we’ll be able to focus on the fight! Will you please consider it? ➡️ http://www.studentloanjustice.org/donate.html This week, we still need 12 people to donate $20 or more. I’m also happy to report that our contacts in the Senate tell us that the very dangerous legislation that was in the FAA Re-Authorization bill (S.1939) was taken out of the bill at the 11th hour last week, and was not included when the bill was passed. The official, passed version of the bill has not been made publicly available yet, but our sources are credible. That’s a rare bit of good news! Thanks to everyone who helped us cause the public outcry that stopped this dangerous trick. Today’s action is quick: Hear this interview I did last week for Pacifica Radio in Texas. Also this recent call we got onto C-SPAN. Everyone should be getting a call into C-SPAN once per month! I hope you understand the significance of this group and our fight. Sincerely, Alan 5/16/2024 Some GOOD NEWS!!Hey Everyone-
I’m happy to report that our contacts in the Senate tell us that the very dangerous legislation that was in the FAA Re-Authorization bill (S.1939) was taken out of the bill at the 11th hour last week. So that’s a rare bit of good news. Thanks to everyone who helped us cause the public outcry that made this happen for us! Today’s action is quick: ➡️ We are asking everyone to please donate $20 or more at this time to fund our operations this week. It would be exceptionally helpful if we could get 150-200 people to commit to making it a monthly, recurring donation through the election. This would take a massive amount of fundraising pressure off of us. Will you please help? http://www.studentloanjustice.org/donate.html Hear this interview I did last week for Pacifica Radio in Texas. Also this recent call we got onto C-SPAN. Everyone should be getting a call into C-SPAN once per month! I truly hope the significance of this group and our fight is not lost on you. We really need you in this battle right now! Sincerely, Alan 5/14/2024 Help W/ This.Folks-
We’re needing to raise $50 today for an overdue insurance bill. Will you please help? http://www.studentloanjustice.org/donate.html I hate to have to lead with this, but it can't wait. Plz help if you can? Plz make this fundraising easier on us! Today’s action: A VERY DANGEROUS FAA Re-Authorization bill has passed the Senate and is now in the house where it almost certainly will pass. The bill contains language that would both kill the Secretary’s power to cancel loans broadly, and also raise the amount that can be borrowed to over $100,000 for undergrads. The language may apply to far more than just Flight School students. Apparently, this is the new “bipartisanship” (the Republicans wanted the first thing, the Democrats wanted the second thing). It’s the worst of both worlds for us, and it’s happening. See Sunday's Livestream about it- We really need you in this fight, folks. Have a Great Day- Alan 5/12/2024 Sunday RequestLadies and Gentlemen-
Today we are asking everyone receiving this email to please donate $10 or more at this time to fund our operations for the coming week. Will you please help? This is extremely critical. http://www.studentloanjustice.org/donate.html *** I'm doing a special Livestream tonight at 7pm EST for our Presidential Campaign, and also giving an important update on the student loan situation. You'll definitely want to see it. You can see at our Twitter page! To those of you who don’t know me: I'm 54 years old. I've spent nearly my entire adult life fighting for student loan justice, at a massive personal cost. I live in what was a decades-long-abandoned building in the woods in North Wisconsin which has no working plumbing, a badly leaking roof, and many other deficiencies, particularly during the coldest winter months. I have no healthcare, no retirement savings, don't take welfare or any other public assistance, and struggle constantly to even pay the phone/heat/internet bill every month. Nonetheless, I fight. Every day. For you. For Student Loan Justice. Because our group refuses to do deals with bad people, won’t sell our members out to the student loan industry, or do other bad things for money that would corrupt our mission, it has been, is now, and probably will be very financially difficult for us to operate for the foreseeable future. I won’t bore you with the details of the hardships this has brought over the years. Suffice it to say it’s been rough. But necessary. I wake up every day…EVERY day…and for nearly every waking hour fight this battle, because it must be fought, and literally no one else in this country is actually fighting it. Those darkest days are (hopefully) behind us now, and our group is much stronger for them. I actually feel very privileged to be fighting for this very necessary and noble cause. Our group has, in fact, led the national, public discourse on student loans for the past 20 years, but particularly in recent years, and that is remarkable, given the hurdles we’ve faced. Make no mistake: But for this group, our decades-long efforts, our petition, and so much else, student loan cancellation by executive order would have never become a national issue. But for this group we would not have seen- and will not see- meaningful bankruptcy legislation in Congress. Do you not know this? Please just google this group and go back 20 years to see for yourself. I don’t complain, but a little help to ensure that this group, all that we've achieved- and all that we are poised to accomplish- doesn't disappear from existence for lack of the nominal funding we need to continue is of paramount importance to me. A little support from the members towards that end doesn't strike me as expecting too much. Do you NOT see how hard I, and others are fighting? Do you not see how MUCH we have accomplished? Do you not see how close we are, now to FINALLY getting this thing done? Do you NOT get how discouraging it is for us to see so much APATHY out there, from the very people who we are fighting SO HARD FOR? Do you NOT appreciate all of this that we’ve done for you, even a little bit? To those of you who have been helping in this historic fight (you know who you are) with financial support (and most significantly, your actions): you know I appreciate, respect, and salute you to no end. We are truly the pioneers, and history will judge us most favorably. To everyone else, I can only implore you to take this battle, and this group, more seriously going forward. We are literally the only group in the country that is fighting this battle as it must be fought. This could go very well for us, but at the same time, it could go horribly bad. For ALL of us. The stakes- your stakes- are extremely high right now. The other groups in this space have all made deals with the student loan industry that guarantees they will never actually solve this problem, but rather will only perpetuate it and exploit it. This has become a very big fight. We can and MUST win this. It really is up to us! So Please…Will You Just Help? We have a HUGE CHALLENGE ahead with this fight, and with the presidential campaign. You'll be glad you did- See you tonight at 7pm EST! Alan 5/10/2024 Friday Action!Ladies and Gentlemen-
The battle is raging right now on all fronts. We need 8 people to donate $20 or more this week. Will you please help? It would be exceptionally helpful at this time. Great thanks to Joan, Greg, Cynthia, Madeline, and Donald for their recent contributions! Lots of shameful stuff going on right now against us, reflected in today’s action: We really need to hold the bad guys accountable folks. If we don’t, they'll bury us. *** Special Note for those of you who don't know me or this group: I'm 54 years old.
