1/24/2024 Wednesday Action, Some News...Everyone-
We have to raise $500 this week for normal SLJ expenses. This is 25 people donating $20, or 10 people donating $50. Will you please help? Great thanks to Jon, Jennifer, Suzanne, Tina, Laurie, Nick, Candis, Misty, and Martha for their contributions over the past few days! Fundraising is extremely difficult for us at this time, so please join them? We literally will not survive to continue this fight much longer without your financial support! 80% of federal student loan borrowers are not paying. You won't see it reported in the media yet, but I assure you I've checked with the Department of Education and they confirmed. It appears strongly that the student loan program has lost its legitimacy. Our Presidential Campaign is going well! Please remember that the point of this is to solve the student loan problem before the election. It is critical that we all tell everyone we know with student loans about it quickly. 80% of federal student loan borrowers are not paying. You won't see it reported in the media yet, but I assure you I've checked with the Department of Education and they confirmed. See last night's livestream. I'm glad to report that a former board member of Sallie Mae, the nation's largest and vicious student loan company, has come around to our side, and is now donating to our presidential campaign! We also got great shout-outs from journalist Matt Taibbi and actor John Cusack in the first week of the campaign, and have done interviews on New York Talk Radio, podcasts, and other places! My #1 goal is that everyone with student loans knows about our campaign in the next month. I hope you will help spread the word about it! KEEP FIGHTING. THIS IS YOUR BATTLE! I announced my Run for President on Monday as a means to solving the student loan problem! With 40 million distressed student loan borrowers on our side, we can actually win, but only with your help. Will you please do a donation at this time, big or small, to help get it off the ground? Will you tell everyone you know with student loans about the campaign over the next couple of weeks? Will you follow us on Twitter and Facebook? We have a shot folks, but it all depends on how hard our members fight over the first critical weeks. We won't be covered by the mainstream media(at least initially). Here and here are a couple of interviews we've done with local/alternative media so far. Interestingly, a former board member of Sallie Mae (the country's first and largest student loan company), has come over to our side, and is actually donating to the campaign! I could think of nothing else within the bounds of the law to exert enough pressure on the 2 parties in power to get this problem solved. So here we are!
