Today’s Action:
This week, we need 34 people to donate $20, or 17 people to give $40. Will you please help? We got exactly zero donations yesterday, so I’m worried! We have a very significant special project in the works that is taking all of our resources, both in time and in funds. We’ll be rolling this out on or before January 1st. So please help folks! Hear this interview we did this week on the NPR station in Baltimore, MD. This is a 1-hour discussion, and we were the final guest (at the 45-minute mark) along with a reporter for the Washington Post. By all means send a note to your local NPR Affiliate and tell them to have us on. This is the sort of thing we can and should be doing every day! Today’s Action:

Hear this interview we did yesterday on WYPR (Baltimore, Washington DC)- Midday with Tom Hall. This is a 1-hour discussion, and we were the final guest (at the 45-minute mark). We can and should be doing this sort of thing every day, so by all means, send a note to your local NPR Affiliate and tell them to have us on. This sort of thing really helps, folks. We’re meeting with key senate staff, and also appearing on the NPR station in Washington DC later this week for a long-form discussion. We also have a special project brewing. I hope everyone is enjoying themselves. The battle for student loan justice continues on this end! We’ll be going on Coast to Coast AM tonight at 10 pm Pacific Time. Call in if you can! Also, only 20% of borrowers are paying on their student loans- this is a lot fewer than even we were predicting. Please help us get the word out about this- We have our work cut out for us this coming year. We’ll be rolling out our “special project” on New Year’s Day. I think you’ll be impressed. It will likely dominate our efforts in 2024. Finally: We still need to raise $80 from last week, and about $800 for this week. Will you please help? Thanks to everyone who has been- Cheers! We're needing 120 people to donate $10 or more this week, which is a LOT for us!. We have a special project in the works that will require a stand-alone laptop (I'll be rolling this out soon). Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Today’s we push both Elizabeth Warren and Virginia Foxx: Virginia Foxx is the worst person in Congress on the student loan issue. Elizabeth Warren is supposedly among the best, but she and the Democrats have, disturbingly, signaled an opposition to the return of bankruptcy rights to student loans in recent months. This is extremely concerning. You should be worried. Fundraising: Thanks to everyone who has been helping lately. This coming week, we’ll need to raise $1,200, which is a very large weekly amount for us! We’re embarking on a special project (for which we’ll need a dedicated laptop). So this is 60 people donating $20, or 30 people donating $40. I truly hope that you will pitch in. I can’t say anything about this project currently, but I think you’ll be impressed when I do roll it out ;-). Ok folks. We’ll be hitting hard over the weekend, and all through next week. It's a tough week. Today’s we push President Biden and Speaker Johnson:
Things are difficult for us all right now. All the more reason to spend some of your energy fighting with us rather than fumbling around on your own, trying to deal with student loan servicers, banging your head against the wall, etc. They can and will baffle and bamboozle us forever as long as we don’t have the fundamental leverage of bankruptcy, and the benefits of this will always accrue to them!
