I have to lead off with a request for donations. We need 90 people to donate $10 or more this week, which will be really tough. Thanks to Martha, Chris, Laurie, Michael, Aimee, Denine, Nick, Donald, Mary, Susan, Candis, John, Lisa, and everyone who has been stepping up to help lately. Will you please join them and keep us in this fight? See last night's 3 minute livestream. Really important! I hope you saw our interviews at Fox News, The Hill, Newsweek, The Guardian, and many other places over the past few weeks. We’ve also done testimony to the Department of Education, met with key Senators, and much more during that time. Pretty important that this group remains in this fight… Interview Request: If you won’t be resuming payments when they turn the loans back on, let us know if you’re willing to be interviewed. We need you in this fight! -Alan Hey All! First, I want to thank the hundreds of people who submitted their stories about their student loan debt. Reading through them, one thing is clear: stories are powerful. We now want to take these stories to social media and launch a movement called #whatsyournumber. Legislators need to see how this personally affects everyone and know we are not just a number but real people behind massive amounts of debt. Directions: Make a copy of this template. You can edit the template to share your student loan debt number on Instagram and discuss how it has impacted you. To make a copy, log into your Canva account (you can make a free one), click file in the top left corner, and make a copy. Once you make a copy, you can edit that version, and only you will be able to access it and post that version! If you don't want to create a new Canva account, you can edit directly on the template and save your file - just make sure to revert the changes once you're done! Be sure to use the hashtag #whatsyournumber and tag change.org to join hundreds of others having this conversation. There are nine supreme court justices and 1.2 million of us; we will be heard.
