This truly is your battle. -Alan 9/4/2022 Sunday ActionHey Everyone-
Glad to report that Elizabeth Warren has picked up on our push on the Attorney General, so that bodes well. This week, Congress is back in session (starting Tuesday), so we'll need a huge amount of effort from everyone to get S.2598 through. To that end:
Let's make this our strongest week ever. -Alan ps. See our Fox News Interview from last week. 9/2/2022 Friday ActionEveryone-
A small but significant "win" in the ongoing battle. I'm glad to report that our action two weeks ago to compel Attorney General Garland has gained momentum. Senator Elizabeth Warren is now joining us in our call on Garland to stop delaying the Department of Education's commitment to stop opposing student loan borrowers in bankruptcy court. Hopefully more to come on this soon... Today's Action:
*** Interview Request *** I'm a reporter for States Newsroom working on a story about how the Biden administration's announcement on student debt cancellation will affect the financial decisions of borrowers. I'm particularly interested in speaking with people who never graduated with a degree, attended a community college, or attended a for-profit college, but I'd be grateful to speak with anyone willing to share how this may affect them, whether it's how much they spend on groceries, moving into a new home, or how they think about other kinds of debt they're carrying. I realize that for many people, this won't be enough for them to make a meaningful change in their finances, and I can speak to you about that issue as well. If you wish to talk with me for this piece, please reach out at [email protected]. My actual full name is Casey Quinlan -Alan ps. Please Donate 9/1/2022 September 1st ActionHey All-

The battle rages! See last night's live stream. Today's action:
Interview Request: Business Insider is looking for conservatives willing to be interviewed about the student loan cancellation announced last week. If this is you, please email [email protected], and let her know! See our interview at Fox News on Saturday. This is your battle, folks. Let's make this week count! -Alan 8/29/2022 Monday, August 29thEveryone-
I hope you caught our interview Saturday on Fox News. We hope to be doing more of these. Our opposition is going ballistic right now. We have to shut them down. I hope you all are pleased and appreciate that we started the public conversation on the concept of student loan cancellation by executive order, and that we've gotten to this point with President Biden. However, there is very good reason to be skeptical and wary of his cancellation pledge in the continued absence of bankruptcy rights. More than ever, we need to fight for S.2598 in the month of September, before early voting begins in October. We're doing our best over here on this end, but we need your help. To that end...Today's Action:
This truly is your battle. The month of September could be it for us. PLEASE MAKE THIS WEEK COUNT. -Alan. ps. Please donate. We need 34 people to donate $20 (or the equivalent) this week. |
