A VERY DANGEROUS FAA Re-Authorization bill has passed the Senate and is now in the house where it almost certainly will pass.  The bill contains language that would both kill the Secretary’s power to cancel loans broadly, and also raise the amount that can be borrowed to over $100,000 for undergrads. The language may apply to far more than just Flight School students.  Apparently, this is the new “bipartisanship” (the Republicans wanted the first thing, the Democrats wanted the second thing).  It’s the worst of both worlds for us, and it’s happening.
