Public Comment Action: For the next 5 days, the Department of Education is asking for public comments about the student loan program. Will you please send in a comment? Please make these two points: 1. The President can and must cancel all federally owned student loans 2. The President can and must order the Department to stop opposing student loan borrowers in bankruptcy court. We have over a million people now, folks. That is more than enough to solve this problem and get these loans gone, but it will only happen when EVERYONE does the small things necessary. Think about that. -Alan

The President can and must cancel all federally owned student loans 2. The President can and must order the Department to stop opposing student loan borrowers in bankruptcy court. This is where the sausage is made, folks. Your voice is very important right now. Also, retweet this and follow us, and also join your state chapter group. We have enough people now to get these loans cancelled and gone, but that will only happen when you step up to help! We continue to hit republican governors in key states. We continue to push Biden nationally, of course...but... this truly is where we can get these loans ACTUALLY gone most easily. Today, please retweet these two messages to Henry McMaster, Governor of South Carolina: First Message Second Message This is working! We've already gotten news stories done in key states like Texas, Colorado, and Ohio, and have dialogue with several Governor's offices. This is with only a few hundred people participating on a daily basis. Do more than this. We have smart people in this group. Be creative. Be clever. Make something unique happen. Remember: if we can get even ONE republican Governor to stand up, and tell President Biden "Enough. I will not have my state wrecked by this federal debt". It will start a chain reaction that will culminate in the deletion of these loans, and the end of this dangerous lending system. YOU COULD BE THE PERSON TO TIP THAT FIRST DOMINO. THINK ABOUT THAT.
