Wednesday. Breaking Interview, Congressional Blitz!

Hey Everyone!
See this interview we just did with Rad Futures. We're also interviewed today at AM950 (Minneapolis) and their affiliates in Seattle and Chicago at 4pm EST today. Check it out!
We continue to meet with members of the House of Representatives. Will you please get us a meeting with your House Rep? It's literally the most helpful action you can take all year for SLJ!

The MOST important Project we have done...NEED YOUR HELP!

Good Monday All!
We need to get into a meeting with your House Representative. This is especially important if you live in a republican district, but it's important for all reps. Only you can make this happen. We can do all the talking if necessary, but it's up to you to do a "meeting request" at their website, and get the ball rolling. Will you please make it your mission to make this happen? This is the most important project we have yet undertaken.
See this interview we did over the weekend with Cynthia Pooler. Also, let us know if you or someone you know had had dealings with YREFY, a new private student loan company that is running wild right now.
Finally: we are now 82% completed with our Gofundme. Will you PLEASE put us over the top so we can focus on fighting for you without all the distraction of having to fund raise all the time? It would be incredibly helpful!
Please also join your state chapter. If you think you might want to lead it, let me know!

Tuesday Action: New Interview Request

Good Tuesday All!
I want to thank Patrick, Faith, Peter, Suzanne, Meria, Theodore, Matthew, Stacey, Michael and others for their efforts towards getting us into meetings with their House Reps. The meetings are going very well. We need you to set up a meeting for us with yours! Please get this done. We will move mountains!
Interview Request: See here. If you were talked into refinancing your private student loans with YREFY, and were never told about Statutes of Limitations, we would like very much like to speak with you. Pleaselet me know about your experience!

We are meeting with Congressional staff all week this week. It is absolutely critical that we meet with your House Rep. Only you can make this happen. Will you?

Fundraising is exceptionally difficult for us at this time. We need 9 people to donate $20 through our Gofundme, or the regular channels for this past week, and we'll need 35 people to kick in $20 or more for a total of 44 people, this coming week. Will you please make this easier on us?!

I truly hope that you see the hard work this group is doing for you, all we are getting done, and all that we are poised to get done! We need you in this fight.

The sooner the better. We can do most or all of the talking if necessary. This is the most important thing you can possibly do this year for Student Loan Justice!

Wednesday Action!

Good Wednesday All!
I'm glad to report that our Facebook group is now up to 31,000 people. Still much less than our 1.2 million petition signers, but it's growing really quickly. I hope you will spread the word about it, and join if you haven't!

Today's action:
Repost this, this and this. We're pushing Thomas Massie, Nicholas J. Kent (Undersecretary) and other key republicans today.
Get us into a meeting with your House Rep! Our meeting calendar is filling up quickly, and the meetings are going very well, but we probably still need your Rep on the docket!

We need 18 people to donate $20 or more to our Gofundme, or through the normal channels. Fundraising is really difficult for us this year for obvious reasons. Will you please help us knock this out, so we can focus on the fight?! Thanks to Tracy, Bobby, Jaliesa, and Monica for their recent contributions!

Congressional Blitz

This truly is the battle, folks. EVERY House Rep is now getting ready for their upcoming elections. The Republicans KNOW they need to do something big to regain support they have- and will- lose from student loan borrowers. NOW IS EXACTLY THE RIGHT TIME FOR US TO BE PUSHING THEM HARD!!!
