9/24/2024 Tuesday: A Note about October 1st... Hey Everyone! We’re getting censored HARD on Facebook right now. Please follow us on X!! 9/22/2024 Sunday. ImportantGood Sunday All-
We're trying to solve our ongoing fundraising problems. We started this yesterday, hoping to convince 100 people to donate $10 so that we wouldn't wouldn't have to fund raise all through the week. 14 people did. So we still need 86 people to step up, and we'll have more than enough .to fight...AND WIN...this battle without that constant distraction of raising $. This would be HUGE for us. Will you please make it so?! It would be really bad for this group to cease operations at this critical time!! Both Parties have abandoned us, folks. This is the hard truth. After October 1st, things will get vicious against us with the collection companies. Whether you are a Democrat, Republican, or neither, you should really read both of these to understand what's happening with both the D's and R's. Please open your eyes: Republicans Democrats We've done great, nationally important and historically significant actions in the past. We can do it again. ➡️ If you have a Parent Plus loan and spent any time with anyone at a College Financial Aid office, in person or online, especially if you felt deceived or coerced during the Parent Plus origination process, including being advised that you were required to apply for such a loan to be eligible for other aid, or had financial challenges you disclosed at the time because of substantial debts such as unpaid mortgages, liens, medical bills, bankruptcies or the like, your help is needed to understand the problems with this origination process. Please send an email to Tom Borgers at [email protected], a Senior Investigator who is a former Senior Banker and Investigator in Charge for the Federal government. Today’s action is very quick: Send an email like this to Kamala Harris: Dear Vice President Harris- I strongly urge your Administration to immediately return bankruptcy rights to federal student loans, execute the broad cancellation of federally owned student loans by executive order, and call on Congress to immediately return standard bankruptcy rights to all student loans. Your administration promised to both return bankruptcy rights to student loans by ending opposition to borrowers in bankruptcy court, and also cancel federally owned student loans by executive order. Your "New Bankruptcy Process" didn't achieve this, and is proving to be a cruel, expensive undertaking for borrowers. You used the wrong law to cancel loans (you should have used HEA 1082), and it predictably was struck down. In your current Presidential campaign, you make no mention of either of those critically important items. The 40+ million distressed voters in the country (ie those who are either unable to pay, or those who are paying but their loan balances are increasing) demand some very serious leadership from you and the Administration. This is nearly enough voters to elect a President outright, and to this point, you have alienated and ignored them. I hope very much that you will take this note very seriously.
