Hopefully you aren't distracted by the drama around Biden's loan cancellation. The real fight is our fight, and ONLY when we win will we see meaningful loan cancellation, or frankly whatever solution you'd like to see for your loans. We need you to fight right now, and for you to not be distracted. We have 5 weeks. To that end:

We want to get our fund-raising for the rest of the year done asap, so that we can focus on this fight. Biden's loan cancellation was struck down yesterday in one of what will be many twists and turns in a distracting saga. We said the cancellation would be bureaucratized into meaninglessness as long as bankruptcy rights remained gone, and we were right. We have six weeks to get our rights back- the only thing that matters right now. Only you doing our daily actions will make that happen. Today:
This truly is the only battle that matters, folks, and we are the only group in the nation fighting it. We are the eye of the storm...and in fact WE ARE THE STORM. We need a very strong day today, a strong weekend, and ONLY YOU WILL MAKE THAT HAPPEN. Please take this seriously, and fight with us. Your loans, and livelihood truly do hang in the balance. Thankfully, the election is now over, and we now have 6 weeks to get our bills passed. We are the only group in the country fighting this battle, and everything depends on it. If ever you were going to fight, between now and the end of the year is your time to do that. Today's action:
We do not want to let this window close on us, folks. January 1st is coming, repayments will resume, and it will get very, very bad for us if that happens, and we don't have our power back. We have until the end of the year to get our legislation passed, and to get the Department of Education to stop opposing student loan borrowers in bankruptcy court. This still truly is the key to solving your student loan problem, and the election does not change that fact. We have our work cut out, but we can easily get it done- at long last- if our members step up and fight...hard. We still need 11 people to donate $20 or more right now. http://www.studentloanjustice.org/donate Will you please help? We'll be rolling out a fundraiser to get us through the end of the year shortly. The goal there will be for 100 people to donate $50. There is only one option left for us before the election: Convincing the Department of Education to stop opposing student loan borrowers in bankruptcy court as they have promised to do. They could do this tomorrow. But they will do nothing if we don't push. It's time for us to make our move. To that end: This is your battle- truly YOUR BATTLE- and it is coming to the end.
