A Good Bankruptcy Bill For Student Loans Just Came Out…

Everyone-

• The Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, Jerry Nadler, just introduced a very good bankruptcy bill.  While it has all the hallmarks of an “all show, no go” bill, there may be a chance with this.  I’ll keep you all apprised.
• We still need 28 people to donate $20 or more for this week.  Will you please just make this fund raising a little easier on us?
• See this interview we just did about the current state of things.
• Starting today, things will get rough for us with the collection industry.  Let us know of any new harassments you encounter from them.  If you are a long-time defaulted borrowers, didn’t sign up for the Fresh Start Program, and see your loans pop up on your credit report after years of not showing up, please let us know!
