Hey All- Thanks to everyone who attended our forum on Thursday. Good video out for us at Newsy on Thursday. Thanks to Tameka and everyone who stepped up to be interviewed for this! Our opposition is attacking right now...See last night's livestream to understand this Today's action is big. We're blitzing the Governors of states where student loan debt exceeds the entire annual state budget, and also a couple of (now) outspoken critics, Steve Bannon, Adam Levitin, and even Brooking's Adam Looney. After the successful lawsuit against Navient, Fedloan did the same. WE were put in forbearance or deferment with continued interest. The son is that you had to agree to the terms of both or you didn’t get it. That is predatory! And not knowing whether or not you are in the right repayment plan when on the PSLF plan…that is misleading. I live paycheck to paycheck helping people who have histories with substance abuse and it is non profit. This is why I was accepted into the PSLF program. This is a good thing but it also keeps me in another position where if I am offered a better position which I was, I can’t accept it because it forfeits the PSLF plan. My thought is that President Biden can cancel all loans and not some. Leave a Reply. |
