For years, we shied away from class action lawsuits.  However...a very important Supreme Court ruling last year found that federal agencies running lending programs could be sued in court for violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).  This is a brand new door that was opened for us...and we're going through it. 
Since the beginning of this year, millions of student loan borrowers saw their credit scores slammed, often despite their best efforts to contact their servicers and the Department of Education.  This has caused massive harms.  
There is a lawsuit now getting underway.  It seeks damages of $100k per borrowers, and also seeks the return of bankruptcy protections to federal student loans.  It is a very strong case. 
IF THIS HAPPENED TO YOU, YOU NEED TO GO HERE, AND TELL THEM YOUR STORY. 
Do it right now.  Time is critical. They need a couple hundred people to certify the class, then it's off to the races!

Dr. Wayne Johnson, who was Chief Operating Officer of the Federal Student Aid office (ie he literally ran the federal student loan program), is leading this effort.  He also was one of the founders of a credit reporting agency, Experion.  This is a very serious man, and this is a very serious case.
It will be very good for you to get in on this suit now.  It will be good for everyone with student loans. Tell anyone you know who similarly experienced dings to their credit score as a result of their federal student loans over the past year about this (but please do NOT post it on social media!)...
