11/9/2022 Planning for the rest of the Year. Hey Everyone-
We have until the end of the year to get our legislation passed, and to get the Department of Education to stop opposing student loan borrowers in bankruptcy court. This still truly is the key to solving your student loan problem, and the election does not change that fact. We have our work cut out, but we can easily get it done- at long last- if our members step up and fight...hard. We still need 11 people to donate $20 or more right now. http://www.studentloanjustice.org/donate Will you please help? We'll be rolling out a fundraiser to get us through the end of the year shortly. The goal there will be for 100 people to donate $50. By all means help us get a jump on it if you can- Please don't be too distracted by all the nonsense in the media (and there is a lot of it). The real fight isn't being televised. They could do this tomorrow. But they will do nothing if we don't push. It's time for us to make our move. To that end: This is your battle- truly YOUR BATTLE- and it is coming to the end. There was a horrible murder-suicide tragedy in Oklahoma last week we are just linking to the student loan issue now. See about it in today's action: SMH. This would have never happened had bankruptcy rights been returned to student loans as promised. This is the week folks. What we do will make the difference. The Democrats promised us in their Party Platform that they would return bankruptcy to student loans. It is the minimum they could do before the election to give us the confidence we need to vote for them, and also to prevent us being abused badly come January 1st, when the loans will be turned back on.
